VBS meeting

VBS meeting for all teachers and helpers

Women’s Fellowship

Diane Schurch was worship leader at the June 4th meeting of Women’s Fellowship. The Bible study was based on the book of Ruth, one of only two books of the Bible named after women. In this study, Diane pointed out the importance of Boaz, and some coincidences important to the narrative.

Board of Christian Ed

The Board of Christian Education met on June 9th and discussed the following:

Old Business

Graduate recognition, Summer Sunday school update, VBS, BOCE Constitution, Sunday school Secretary position

New Business

Salvation Army Food Collection: July will be boxed meals and cereals

Rotation Workship in Milwaukee: Approved registration and mileage for Karen Kleckner to attend a rotation workship in Milwakee to get more information and ideas, as this will be the program our Sunday school will be using this fall

Teacher Meeting: June 24th at 6:30pm for all those interested in heping with and/or finding out more about the new proram for our Sunday school this fall.

Women’s Opportunities: April mentioned a weekend retreat in Rockford for women and also an upcoming gathering in July. More information about both in the newsletter.

Next meeting: August 4th at 7pm

New Photo Directory

The new photo directory has arrived and is available in the church office or before and after Sunday morning worship services. Please mark your name off the list when you receive your directory.

Group Leaders and Helpers Needed

St. Paul will be embarking on a new adventure this fall for our Sunday school department and we need your help. On June 12th from 8am to 5pm, St. Paul will be hosting LifeLine Screening. LifeLine Screening is America’s leading provider of quality health screenings. The following screenings are available to you in a complete wellness package:

  • stroke screening/carotid artery
  • abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) screening

  • osteoporosis screening

Youth Fellowship meeting

The Youth Fellowship will meet on June 8th and 29th at 6pm for a time of fellowship and fun. We will also be planning some of our summer activities, so come with ideas and dates that you are available! See you there!

Women’s Fellowship meeting - June

The June meeting of Women’s Fellowship will be held on Wednesday evening, June 4th at 7:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. Diane Schurch will be worship leader and Shirley Goeke will serve refreshments. All St. Paul women are invited to Bible study and fellowship.

Parade Float

St. Paul will be participating in a number of parades in the coming months: Dakota’s Day in the Park Parade on June 7th, Davis Days on June 21st, Day in Rock City on July 19th, and Durand’s 4th of July Celebration.

One of our goals is to make our ministry at St. Paul much more visible. If you have ideas for the float, please contact Mary Jane Zimmerman, Worship Committee Chair or the church office. Thanks!

Red Cross Blood Drive

The next Davis, Dakota, Rock City Red Cross Blood Drive will be held June 13th at 2 PM at St. Paul Church. Please keep this date in mind!
